Watch your class library grow as your students complete the projects found in this book.The book covers basic word processing skills, including:¥ Working with Files: new, open, close and quit; entering and deleting text.¥ Working with Text: cut, copy and paste; find/change; spelling and thesaurus; and using the ruler options: setting margins, line spacing, tabs and alignment.Once basic word processing skills have been covered, students can progress through the word processing projects included in the book.Also included is an introduction to basic desktop publishing, and a series of desktop publishing projects.Word processing tasks have been based on Clarisworks, and the desktop publishing projects on The Writing Centre. However, the activities may be easily adapted to other programs, such as Microsoft Works or Ultimate Writing and Creativity Centre.
