Description

Navigate from one airfield to another to reconstruct the route taken by a lost group of travellers. Tasks must be undertaken at each airfield including flying a balloon, observing an ornithologist and dropping food supplies. Learners must exercise a wide variety of mathematical and logical skills including using angles and bearings; estimating quantities; reading maps and compass work; gathering, recording and analysing data; using scale; dealing with two and three dimensional geometry; exercising logical problem solving using a variety of approaches; and planning ahead. Three levels of difficulty.
